SALAD BASE FOR HOUSE


Ingredients Needed: 
  • Salad Bowl
  • Romaine Lettuce
  • Spring Mix (for House Salad Base)
  • Shredded Carrots (for House Salad Base)
Equipment Needed:
  • Green Cutting Board
  • Salad Spinner
  • Knife
Directions:
  1. Place the Green Cutting Board onto the table surface
  2. Use the Knife to cut the Bottom of the Romaine Lettuce (approximately 1-1.5 inches)
  3. Cut off the top of the Romaine Lettuce
  4. Inspect all pieces and toss all imperfect pieces (rotten, discolored, too white, too many holes, etc.)
  5. Begin cutting the Lettuce from the top to bottom into 1in pieces
  6. Rinse the Lettuce in the prep sink
  7. When all the pieces are cut and rinsed, throw them into the salad spinneR
  8. Put the lid on the salad spinner and begin to spin the salad for approximately 1 minute or until excess water is removed(Excess water will cause the salad to expire quicker)
  9. Add 75% Spring Mix into the bowl and 25% Romaine Lettuce
  10. Use your hands to mix the ingredients together evenly
  11. Add a Pinch of Shredded Carrots
  12. Put the lid on the Salad Bowl. Label, Date, and Store properly
